Report Card Fundraiser Idea

Here’s a great fundraiser that is completely green - in more ways than one! Kids, teachers and parents alike can get together to make this fundraising idea raise buckets of cool green cash - without impacting the environment at all. It’s a win, win, win, win situation.

Ever want to motivate your kids to do something - not just for personal gain but for a cause? All this fundraiser takes is a few pledge sheets and envelopes to collect the cash!

Each child can pledge themselves to earning as many A’s as possible on their next report card. Let friends and family members know they can pledge a certain amount of money for each A they receive on their card!  Some can pledge a dollar an A, some five or ten or even more - and consider bonuses for making honor roll.

The whole community can get involved. Encourage local businesses to pitch in and match funds for each class, up to a preset amount. Teachers and parents can cheer their kids on, and show their faith and support by their pledges.

When report cards come out, each family can gather up the pledged funds. Teachers can tally up the cash per class, and rounds can be made to pick up the matching funds. This is a great way to encourage community support, and to get the adults and kids working together to promote education and a worthy cause.

This go-green project can also make an opportunity to talk to kids in the school about the importance of living green and taking care of the environment by avoiding waste and finding ways to do things that don’t cause additional strain on the planet.

With no orders to place, merchandise to deliver or have to arrange to be picked up, this fundraiser is easy to set up. With the added bonus of encouragement for the children to show excellence at school, a report card fundraiser might just be the best green one yet!
